DVD Review -Goal

This week on last saturday I happened to watch a DVD called Goal. And found that it is a very great film I also suggest you to watch the film because it has everything in it and fills u up with high spirits.

Just take a little review about the plot and do watch it coz its a great film.

All of those who know the great clubs like manchester united, real madrids and having seend the likes of david beckham, ronaldo, zidane you get to see glimpses of theirs side in Goal 2nd part.

But however in the first part the film Goal is a story of a young mexican lad - Santiago Munez. he is born in a mexican family at age of 14 his family illegally crosses the mexican border and land up in Los angeles. Santiego grows up to a young teeen and he starts working and assisting his dad with his construction work in the day and practices football for alocal club until one day luck smiles on him and Glen Foy former player from england happens to see his talent and invites him to visit england and try out his luck so santiago starts saving money but his father is not happy for that and he steals all his money coz he does not want his sone to be one of the thousand youngsters out there who in want of a life of superstand as a football player do not turn up to become a wellcaretaker of their families. But santiago is broken but he is backed up by his grand mother who helps him with money to go to uk.

So he flies up there and he gets a chance to show of his talent before the coach of the famous club "NEW CASTLE" yeah but it is a rainy day and he fails to perform in the mud he is rejected and is broken up but luck smiles again as we know luck favours the brave and he gets a one month campm in the new castle to show his performance and talent. He continues to get trained and show his talent and comes in the notice of the coach but santiago has one thing which he is hiding from the manager that is that he has asthama and he cant play longer without inhaler.

The coach then gives him a chance to play in the main team against "Manchester United" but a sadist fellow crushes his inhaler and he fails to perform and he is called of the ground and he is told to get back to United States as he is no more fit for playing footlball. Meanwhile Santiago develops friendship with the nurse of the club and falls in love. Santiago is about to leave but the star player of Newcastle-Gravin Harris, finds him and takes him back to the club and pleads the coach to give him another chance which was going to be the best one for him.

In the next game though he could not score but provides a penalty for his team which is turned into a goal by Gravin Harris and he become s a star and harris becomes his friend .
for the first time in his life he sees david beckham shakes hand with him and also meeths zidane whose posters were all over his bedroom.
This game was watched by his father who sees his son on the tv in a bar and yells out "he is my son, he is my son" and after few days of this game he is dead.

Santiago hears this news and is about to leave uk for all but then he decides that going back after starting from La doesnt make sense so he will stay in UK and will play for his father.

He plays in the final game and scores a goal and the graphics that is the way they show the goal being scored is just amzing

So I advise you all the soccer fans download the movie and have a go at it and remember beginning is much better than the end so watch it from the start and do not miss out the second part which is as exciting as the first one because in this one santiago plays for Real Madrid with the likes of Ronaldo, Beckham, Raul and Zinadine zidane.

The Get-together party in School

Hey folks out there the big day was just over

Yeah monday, the day for all the ex students of Fatima Vidyalayam - the school where we spend our half of the age.

The day started at 5:30 AM, when I saw rafi blinking on my cell. I rushed to wash up my face and took my bike, ipod and rushed to Shakeel's residence to make a cd of exortic songs to be played in the party. After shouting his name for five times he came as if he did not sleep for the last 15 years. He opened the door and handed over the computer to me and it took 30 minutes for me to find out the socket for usb. Cossh yeah i know i am a BSC computer grad and shakeel is a damn software engineer thought it was frustrating but at last after 40 minutes i found the socket linked the ipod and dumped all the sexy songs in his sys.

And then we started for the market got the stuff and went back to home to dressed up and at 12:30 the function started and I was happy to see the teacher who have taught a good amount of english to us Sister. Pushpi. She looked the same active and smiling and when she was invited on stage she just distributed the wisdom she hold. It was great. Lunch followed after electing the alumini committee. and then foot ball match. After a long 2 years gap the whole 99 batch came alive on the ground and started moving after the ball no wonder many of them fell on their nose due to lack of stability that was stolen by the smoke.

However we defended for 2 halfs and the match got draw . It resulted ina penalty shootout and that was also draw.

I too took a chance to shoot a penalty but u know my aims are very high so was my shot which just took a little more than the goal post and went out of the compound .


No matter we finished at 5'o clock

The attendents included kaleem(working for wipro), kiran, mirza(wipro banglore), rajashekhar, pawan, samreen( married) , umay roman(doing mbbs), irshath jahan(wipro banglore), rv sridhar, manohar, sridhar, siyadath, minnath, yousuf, arif, shakeel, minhaj, and many more important people.

However I am happy that we the batch of 99 have given a start to a great tradition that is sure to be followed in the near future .

Great festive Season

Hey guys, sorry for making you wait for so long. But as they say that the more you wait the sweeter is the fruit.

However, this was the finest festival time I have ever had in the last few years. I was on a stretch leave for 12 days from the office. I started on 12th of this month for my stretch. Celebrated a lot meeting old friends as every one was gearing up for organizing the much awaited get together party at school. Five days before eid was avery busy schedule like meeting childhood school friends seniors and juniors communicating the date for get together . And the on the very chand raat surfing the streeets to get few clothes to hide my body. Was cool was doing the rounds of the streets till 3'o clock and then next day bang waking up at 6 and offering prayers and meetinghell lot of friends .

In the evening skipped every meeting and went to school along with friends to assist them in planning the decoration of stage and tents etc..

Came back had a awful dinner at rafi's residency and after long hours of gupshup went home at 2'0 clock
